Top Customer Reviews

  • I adore my new refrigerator. Both the interior and exterior are very roomy and modern. The ice will fall out of the bin when it is too full and you are trying to scoop it up, but that is the only minor issue. My family and I so far adore it. Even how frequently the doors have been opened is tracked. The infuser pitcher gets a lot of use from my family and me. The expense paid off.
  • The product is outstanding so far. Though this fridge is quite wide and challenging to maneuver, especially when turning corners, make sure technicians don’t scratch your walls when transporting it up the stairs.
  • It sounds odd to call the refrigerator beautiful, but it is, and the doors are especially lovely. Putting in the doors was simple, and they look great. The bottom doors are the only thing that are out of stock, but the wait will be worthwhile! When the lower doors are open, more pictures will be taken. Our refrigerator was expertly chosen by Danny at the Wichita Falls store.
  • I always had issues with kids tampering with the ice maker or water dispenser. This time, however, they are oblivious to it because it is concealed inside the refrigerator, which is very roomy and comes in a variety of colors…i love it !!!!
  • On so many levels, this refrigerator is amazing! In addition to being extremely functional with the beverage center and flex areas, it also looks stunning in matte black. I never imagined I’d fall in love with my refrigerator!
  • far superior to what I had anticipated. The dual ice maker is a nice addition, and the beverage center is extremely practical. The water setup is much nicer than my previous refrigerator’s in-door unit. Looking forward to getting some door panels with custom colors to match our cabinets. The size difference seems to be much greater than the rating of 28 cubic feet between my old and this one. Since there is no in-door ice dispenser, there is much more room in the refrigerator section where the ice maker would typically be. The Flex Zone is nice too because it gives us more fridge space if we need it. Unlike our previous fridge, which showed every smudge and required constant cleaning, this one’s door panels don’t show fingerprints and there aren’t any chrome areas on the doors. Overall very happy with this fridge
  • Large families or those who enjoy entertaining should have this unit! The space’s upper and lower sections can both be accessed completely thanks to the four doors. The water pitcher that comes with it has a diffuser that lets you add fruit and is automatically refilled as needed. Additionally, a paddle is provided for filling each glass or cup of water separately. Both large and small cubes of ice are always available thanks to the dual ice bins, and the freezer comes with an ice scoop to make life even simpler!

Bespoke Colour & Finish Options Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

So far in the UK, there are two panel finishes available in the customisable Bespoke Studio range: glass, and a matt metal finish called “cotta”.

There are five glass colors and three cotta colors available for the refrigerator and freezer in the larder. You can choose from five cotta colors and seven glass colors for the refrigerator and freezer. Various glass colours have a different level of refraction: “satin” is a soft silky glass, “glam” is a glossy glass, and “clean” is a high-gloss glass.

However, not all models come in all colors and finishes. Finding out what color options are currently available is also confusing and challenging. You should also keep in mind that different finishes and colors come at different price points.

Clean Black, Clean White, Satin Beige, Satin Sky Blue, and Glam Navy are available for the fridge’s and freezer’s glass doors. The colors for the cotta doors are Sky Blue, Lavender, and Beige.

The Bespoke refrigerator and freezer, however, come in extra colors for both finishes. Glam Peach and Glam Lavender are additional colors available in addition to the glass range’s colors, and a Cotta White is part of the cotta range as well.

According to reports, Samsung intends to expand the color palette to include a grey glass and a rose-pink glass in addition to several steel finish options in champagne, navy, and matt black.

Operate Volume Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

According to Samsung, the refrigerator operates at a sound level of 39 dB, which is comparable to a quiet computer. We didn’t really hear any operational noise, so this seemed high to us. The door alarm consists of three sets of barely audible double pings, so it won’t grate on you if you’re browsing with the fridge door open.

Run Cost Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

The total annual energy consumption for this refrigerator is 120 KWh/pa and it has an E rating on the new 2021 energy rating scale (A++ on the old scale). Depending on your payment plan, supplier, and where you live in the UK, we estimate that running the appliance would cost about 18 pounds per year.

Control Panel Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

An accessible touchscreen panel is used to operate the refrigerator, which is located at the top of the cabinet. A temperature range of 1°C to 7°C is available for the refrigerator. There is also a power cool setting, which causes the fan to run at maximum speed for 2.5 hours to cool recently purchased items.

You can lock the touchscreen itself and disable the door alarm via the touchscreen. Vacation mode keeps the fridge at a temperature of 17 degrees.

Cool Down & Warm Up Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

The fridge has Samsung’s “All-Around Cooling” system, which means that every part of the cabinet is kept equally chilled. The lack of a temperature difference between the top and bottom of the refrigerator makes this consistency clear.

It was challenging to test the cool-down time because of the low wintertime atmospheric temperatures, but the refrigerator reached 5°C in less than an hour. The refrigerator was still at 1°C 24 hours after being turned off, again keeping in mind the cool ambient temperature.

Interior Lighting Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

Three 15cm by 3.5cm LEDs, one at the top and two at the sides, illuminate the interior of the cabinet. We thought the side lights could have been a little bit longer for more even illumination throughout the interior, even though they do a good job of lighting the space.

Fridge Capacity Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

There are 19 20-litre bags of groceries’ worth of storage space in the fridge, which is 387 liters. Samsung employs its “SpaceMax technology” to eke out the most space from the fridge footprint by making the cabinet walls as thin as possible.

The top of the vegetable box is in addition to the four cabinet shelves. Foldable, meaning half of it slides back to make room for taller items to stand on the shelf below, is the third shelf from the top. Additionally, a metal wine rack with five bottle grooves is present.

We didn’t like that you can only use Samsung’s configuration; you can’t move the shelves up or down.

Two vegetable drawers are located beneath the shelves. The top one feels a little more rudimentary because it has a manual humidity dial. At this price point, we’d ideally like to see a more accurate digital control.

However, each of these drawers has a sizable amount of storage space. We designed the top drawer to hold approximately 23.6 liters, and the bottom drawer to hold 24 liters.

In a test, we managed to cram in 1 kg of carrots, 2 kg of potatoes, 2 little gem lettuces, a pack of piccolo tomatoes, and a bunch of celery while still having about 60% of the drawer’s capacity available.

The capacity of the bottom bin was about 40% higher despite being slightly bigger. Contrary to what might be expected, the dimensions are less ideal because it is deeper and narrower to make room for the compressor at the back.

Door Storage Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

There is a full-width lidded dairy balcony at the top of the door and another full-width balcony below. Both are simple for someone who is shorter than the average adult to access.

There are then two sets of half-width balconies, the upper set of which can be adjusted upward by the same amount as well as 15 cm and downward. A second full-width balcony is located at the bottom.

Two supermarket 6-pinters of milk or four 4-pinters can be stored on the bottom balcony. Each of the lower half-width balconies can accommodate a 6-pinter or two 4-pinters. Overall, this door could accommodate 32 pints of milk.

Three 450g jars can be accommodated on the higher set of half-width balconies, with room to spare and additional height available if necessary for taller jars.

One six-egg tray is included with the refrigerator.

Price Of Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

This thing ain’t cheap, with a street price of $3,698.97 including the panels. However, Samsung has a reputation for setting prices for its products high initially before rapidly slashing them, and the same is true in this case. The Bespoke 4-door French Door fridge currently costs $2,498.96 through the Samsung website as of the time of this writing if you select the same specifications that we did. This is about $500 less than what it cost us three months ago, which was only four months after it was first made available. Although still expensive, that is much more in line with other refrigerators that offer comparable features.

Bespoke Problems

When using the Samsung refrigerator, there are some things to be aware of. First off, if you choose glass for the panels, be mentally ready for them to arrive broken. This is what happened to us when the freezer panel arrived completely shattered, forcing us to use the company’s customer service system. A few weeks after I was supposed to have received a replacement, I received a random text message from an unkown number stating that since I have a Canadian fridge, they are unable to assist me. This was a difficult, confusing, and drawn-out process.

Samsung Canada disagreed with the assessment, and somewhere around my fifth call to customer support in as many weeks, a support person finally directed me to Samsung’s free replacement program (which it refers to as “promotional” and an “offer”) for this very issue — a completely automated and straightforward process that resulted in a full replacement set of panels. Evidently, I’m not the only one who has gone through this.

Wi-fi: Is It Even Worth It?

The Samsung SmartThings app, which is available for Android devices, can be used to add this refrigerator to your network and configure it. Should you bother?

The majority of app control involves adjusting the temperature sliders for the fridge and freezer as well as ice production and Sabbath mode. Those you can do from the control panel inside the fridge, but what you can’t do is activate “power cool” and “power freeze.”

Both of those functions work as expected: upon activation, the temperature in the refrigerator or freezer will quickly drop by a few degrees, allowing you to quickly cool items like a 12-pack of soda or produce ice more quickly (Samsung claims that this can reduce the time it takes to produce ice from 90 minutes to 55 minutes or less, though I have not tested this). I can appreciate the value of both features because I’ve experienced running out of ice at a gathering and who hasn’t put a hot Dr. When placing pepper in the freezer to cool, have you ever returned much later to discover a bulging can—or, worse—one that has exploded and covered the freezer in gooey, coffee-colored foam?

The Bespoke refrigerator is one of the SmartThings devices that Samsung launched an energy-monitoring feature for earlier this year. With monthly use goals and frequent notifications, this feature lets you see how many kilowatt hours you’ve consumed so far this month and how much that will cost. Since I only have two rarely used devices at home that use Samsung’s smart home platform, I’ll admit that I haven’t been paying close attention to SmartThings. Energy monitoring was a pleasant surprise. As I test this feature, I’ll come back and add my initial thoughts to this review.

Final Words

In the end, this was inconvenient, but purchasing from Samsung entails some level of risk that you may have to deal with its customer service team, and I don’t think this experience was a reason not to buy what is otherwise a nearly faultless appliance.

The beverage center, the vibrant options, and the strategic use of space all impress me. All refrigerators with an additional slide-out drawer have the flexible FlexZone drawer, and being able to keep tabs on my refrigerator’s energy usage is invaluable, especially in the summer when my pitiful air conditioner struggles to keep up with the increasingly erratic temperatures.

We left our old Whirlpool behind when we sold our old house and moved across the country, and I always figured we’d just buy that fridge once we had the money. I didn’t anticipate we’d find one I actually like more.
